- Mr. Pitts and Miss Fitz
Men everywhere are thanking God they didn't end up with Miss Fitz. She is described as ill-tempered.
"That's OK," says Mr. Pitts, who is known for his horrible stench.
The wedding is Thursday at Lou's Place.
- Mrs. Pennington
Neva Williams Pennington, 90, of Haddock, died Thursday, April 12, 2007. Services were held Saturday, April 14, at Haddock United Methodist Church, with burial in Highview Cemetery in Gray. The Rev. Debbie Wallace officiated.
Mrs. Pennington was born June 6, 1916, in Avera. She was the daughter of the late Jeff Lawson Williams and Annie Williams. Mrs. Pennington was a member of Haddock United Methodist Church, where she served on the Administrative Board. She was a member of the Garden Club, the Good Neighbor Club, the American Cancer Association, and was a homemaker and farmer. Mrs. Pennington was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff L. Williams, and by a sister, Mercedes Pedersen.
Mrs. Pennington is survived by her sons, Jimmie Pennington of Carnesville and Dr. Jack Pennington of Blairsville; and her grandchildren, Amy B. Pennington, Carla B. Pennington, Natalie E. Pennington and Jeffrey N. Pennington.
Bridges Funeral Home in Gray had charge of arrangements.
- Mrs. Wright
Mrs. Willie L. Wright, 85, of Milledgeville, died Sunday, April 15, 2007. Services were held Wednesday, April 18, at Williams Funeral Home and Crematory in Milledgeville.
Mrs. Wright was a lifelong resident of Baldwin County. She was a daughter of the late Sam and Mattie Lingold Avery. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, J. P. Wright; son, Larry Harrison; and daughter, Marjorie Humphries.
Mrs. Wright is survived by her daughters, Lois Woodard of Jones County, Melba Moore of Milledgeville and Jane Crump of Milledgeville; son, David Harrison of Milledgeville; sisters, Emily Buckner of Milledgeville, Alice Avery of Milledgeville and Velma May of Sandersville; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Williams Funeral Home and Crematory in Milledgeville had charge of arrangements.
